A couple of weeks ago, at The Other Partizan, I had the privilege to take part in the big reenactment battle of Hastings. It was to celebrate the 960th anniversary of the historical event, and for that, Peter Dennis and Mirko Brunner put together this impressive game table. The intention was to refight the battle in a scale one warrior one figure, so we put 17.000 figures on the table.
It took a year to prepare and envolved volunteers from around the world. Peter designed the 18mm paper figures and people committed to cut and assemble the bases necessary for the armies. Some of those bases had around 320 or 340 figures.

And here you have some photos of the event which by the way it won the "Best in show" award. A great day indeed.
